Description

Corfu, the most northerly of the Ionian Islands .From 1386 to 1797, a period that gave it much of its most beautiful architecture, Corfu was held by the Venetians. Then, along with the rest of the Ionian Islands, it was under the British from 1815 to 1864. The Old Town of Corfu is a UNESCO is a World Cultural Heritage Monument it, is classified as one most important fortified city/ports in the Mediterranean.

Garitsa seaside walk, visit to Mon Repo, View of Pontikonisi , walk from Venetian fortresses and British mansions to stately palaces and French esplanades, a walking tour around the Old Town of Corfu is a must or walk through Cantounia, visit CampIello, and drink a coffee at Liston / Esplanade (Spianada) the second largest square in Europe.
